Jurgen Klopp returned for the second day of the pre-season on Tuesday, while at least nine youngsters from Liverpool academy were called up when ball work began.
Despite provisionally setting a start date for Monday, July 4, the Reds will be informed at the AXA Training Center at different times during the preseason opening days.
Fifteen players were tested at the gym on the first day, including Jordan Henderson, Luis Diaz, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and new signings Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay.
Another five were originally among the first to return, and although Neco Williams is currently training separately, the rest are expected to be involved on Tuesday.
Roberto Firmino was one of those seen at the training center in the morning, heading next to Diaz as it rained in the summer.
For those who had already gone through the preliminary checks, the second day involved ball work on the outside fields, with Klopp drafting several players from the academy.

Among these were Melkamu Frauendorf, Stefan Bajcetic i Bobby Clarkwhile Luke Chambers he was still involved after his surprise inclusion Monday.
Frauendorf, the 18-year-old offensive midfielder, made his first-team debut last season in a 4-1 win over Shrewsbury in last season’s FA Cup, and was regularly called up for senior training.
Midfielders Bajcetic and Clark, both 17, were checked by Lt. Pepijn Lijnders as vigilantes in January, and it looks like they will be given a chance during the preseason.
There is a lot of hope for the versatile Isaac Mabaya17-year-old, and the England youth international was also seen with the squad.
The goalkeepers Harvey Davies i Fabian Mrozekboth 18-year-olds were among those selected, while there was room for the 19-year-old local duet. James Norris i Tom Hilltoo.
Hill’s inclusion is a significant moment, as the midfielder has spent most of the last two seasons out due to injury.
