Jurrien Timber sends message to Tyrell Malacia after Manchester United’s move is confirmed

Tyrell Malacia has officially introduced himself as a Manchester United player this week, becoming Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer.

Malaysia signed a deal until 2026, which United can extend until 2027. The left-back explained that he seeks to emulate and even surpass club legend Patrice Evra.

For now, Malacia just wants to enjoy the moment and sent a message to Red Devils fans on social media expressing their happiness to sign for the club.

Malacia, 22, is heading to United to compete for a first-team spot, and is looking forward to the next chapter of his career.

A player to watch for the 32 teams in the World Cup

After posting on Instagram, Malacia received dozens of congratulatory messages from former teammates, and among them was her Dutch international teammate Jurrien Timber.

Timber also had a chance to sign with Manchester United this summer, before being frightened by Louis van Gaal warning him that his international prospects could have a blow.

As we pointed out last week, Timber should have shown more self-confidence and would have relied on it to be a success, just like Malaysia.

Malaysia has three fewer international matches than Timber, making his international debut after him. Van Gaal’s warning also applies to him.

And yet, the left-back is not discouraged and has taken the opportunity presented to him by Manchester United.

We wonder if Timber has any doubts or regrets not being so daring.
