The jury denied these allegations on social media, saying: “We followed the evidence … myself and other jurors do not use Twitter or Facebook. Others who had it, made a point not to talk about it.”
“What I think is true is that they both insulted each other,” the jury concluded. “I don’t think that makes any of them right or wrong … but to get to the level of what she was saying, there wasn’t enough evidence to really support what she was saying.”
The jury noted that a “fiasco” that injured Heard during the trial was the revelation that he had not yet given his $ 7 million divorce agreement to a charity, although he claimed to have done so.
“She goes to a talk show in the UK and the video shows her sitting there, telling the host that she gave all that money,” the jury said. “The terms she used in that video clip were, ‘I gave it away, I gave it away, it’s gone.’ But the fact is, she didn’t reveal much about it.”
Heard told NBC News that he has “committed” his $ 7 million settlement to charity and is still committed to donating it over time.
