Fans excited to see Justin Bieber at tonight’s concert will have to make other plans.
The pop superstar was scheduled to perform at the Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, but has announced that these shows will now be postponed.
“I can’t believe you’re saying that,” Bieber’s Instagram post read at about 2 p.m.
“I have done everything to improve, but my illness is getting worse. My heart is breaking because I will have to postpone these next shows (orders from the doctors).
It’s not clear how many shows are postponed exactly.
The entire Bieber Justice World Tour 2022 had been postponed twice before due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bieber’s name was trending on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon and more than a few tweets seem to suggest that fans with tickets aren’t happy with breaking news.
Scotiabank Arena issued a statement on Twitter about the pair of canceled shows in Toronto and said existing tickets will be respected when the rescheduled dates are announced.
Arena added that Bieber’s disease is not related to COVID-19.
