Vice President Kamala Harris faces backlash after posting a “deaf” photo of her promise to fight for abortion rights, while watching coverage of Roe’s national protests against Wade from Air Force 2 .
Harris posted the photo on his official Twitter page Friday night as activists took to the streets after the Supreme Court overturned the abortion ruling.
“I know there are women out there who are afraid. To those of you who feel lonely and scared: I want you to know the president and we fight for you and your rights. We are together in this fight,” Veep tweeted.
The consequences were swift and many accused Harris of being out of touch and others said his message was the equivalent of “thoughts and prayers”, the uncompromising message lawmakers often give in the wake of a mass shooting. .

Meanwhile, others called for Harris to remove the post and for the strategist who approved it to be fired.
