The stars of The Man From Toronto, Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, have officially apologized for mispronouncing Toronto in their upcoming Netflix movie.
The couple was caught with their tongue pants down saying “toe-ron-toe” instead of the local pronunciation “tuh-ronno,” in the action-packed comedy movie trailer.
In an interview with the Ottawa Sun, Hart assured fans that he did not want to lack respect for pronunciation.

“He’s a world-famous assassin and the legend of his murders has grown over the years and throughout his career. So, you have to think, everyone pronounced it that way: the man from Miami, l ‘Wichita man, it was all over.’ said Hart.
“Everyone says Toe-RON-toe because they’re from everywhere,” he laughed.
Harrelson intervened and offered a general apology to all Torontonians, saying, “Well, either way, every time the Torontonians mispronounce, we apologize,” and Hart responded by saying, “Here it is.”
The new film features Harrelson as a deadly assassin named “the Toronto man” and Hart as a “shitty sales advisor” who team up for a wild adventure in a case of misidentification, forcing the Hart’s character pretending to be Harrelson’s. .
The star cast also includes Kaley Cuoco, of whom Harrelson spoke quite well earlier.
If you’re interested in seeing how the story unfolds or just want to hear Hart and Harrelson say “Toronto” wrong, you can watch the movie on Netflix on June 24th.
