Here we go again.
Khloé Kardashian is expecting another child. But, as always, it’s tricky, because the father is Tristan Thompson, the NBA star turned serial cheater who has broken the heart of the reality star about half a dozen times.
The imminent arrival of joy through a substitute was first reported by TMZ on Wednesday afternoon. This was confirmed a few hours later by a representative of the 38-year-old Kardashian. The baby will be the couple’s second child, after their daughter, True, was born in 2018.
“We can confirm that True will have a brother who was conceived in November,” the spokesman told People. “Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary substitute for such a beautiful blessing.”
The birth is expected to take place “in a few days,” according to TMZ. Another source told the media that the baby “may have been born on the last day more or less.”
Last November, loyal viewers will remember, Kardashian and Thompson were back together after an alleged breakup in June over the athlete’s ways of cheating. This had become a family pattern for the couple again, again since they started dating in 2016.
But because those who don’t learn from the story are doomed to repeat it, the relationship was back in an extreme situation two months later, when personal trainer Maralee Nichols gave birth to a child, she said Thompson was the father and sued him for child support.
Weeks later, Thompson admitted his paternity in a post on social media, and he and Kardashian officially separated once again.
So: are they together again? Kardashian’s spokesman issued a definite “no” to People on Wednesday.
“Khloe and Tristan have not been together again and have not spoken since December outside of joint parenting issues,” they said, adding that the pregnancy began before Kardashian, and the rest of the world, learned of Thompson’s extracurricular breeding.
In recent weeks, Kardashian has been in the “early stages” of seeing an unidentified private equity investor, according to a June People report.
“Khloé has gone ahead and is happy in her new relationship …” a source close to the media personality told Us. “Tristan would want nothing more than to get back with Khloé, so of course there’s jealousy.”
And while the basketball player has “tried countless times to get back” her despised lover, the source said, she “has ended up with him forever romantically.”
