INTERSTELLAR RED3,721 aims to immortalize the mission of perseverance on Mars through quality watchmaking.
The 2020 Mars Perseverance Mission is a milestone in Mars’ exploration efforts, and INTERSTELLAR, a LA-based visionary watchmaker, has launched an exclusive collector’s watch in honor of NASA’s mission. Titled “RED3,721”, the unique watch collection is the FIRST line of watches carrying encapsulated Mars meteorite particles.
Initially, the campaign was intended to raise about 20,000 euros for the last quarter of June 2022, but it has already exceeded its targets. No doubt new promises are always welcome.
The RED3,721 project, the first of its kind, has been approved and awarded by NASA. The unique watch has been developed by INTERSTELLAR in collaboration with the leading watchmaker Col & MacArthur.
The name of the collection contains two things: “Red”, which refers to the red planet Mars – and “3.721”, which symbolizes the gravity of the planet as observed during the NASA expedition.

The RED3,721 clock was created to celebrate the mission of perseverance on Mars not in one but in several symbolic ways:
- The clock dial is designed according to the fascinating terrain patterns of the landscape of the red planet
- The watch case contains real Martian powder encapsulated at 3 p.m.
- “7 minutes of terror” just below the 10:10 mark indicates the most tense period during which the Perseverance rover remained motionless for 7 minutes just after touching the surface of Mars
- The Rover’s parachute on the back cover in memory of the parachute that carried the actual images of the mission to the ground and the message of “DARE MIGHTY THINGS”
- The date “February 18, 2020” next to the clock face indicates the historical date on which the Perseverance spacecraft first landed on Mars.
- The dimensions of the Jezero crater (18012’00 ”N-77036’00” E) as it was the same crater where the Perseverance spacecraft landed when it reached Mars.

Please note that INTERSTELLAR has partnered with The Meteoritical Society (International Society for Meteorites and Planetary Science) to allow users to track the origin, history, and technical specifications of the meteorite they carry on their RED3,721 clock.
