Kylie Gillies hosted the show last week, but viewers expected Barr to bring her back on Monday morning.

Instead, Monique Wright hosted the show with Kochie, and the duo shared the reason for Barr’s extended absence.

“Well everyone has been wondering where Nat is, well you may have noticed she’s been missing for the last week or so” Kochie began.

“She is in home isolation after testing positive for COVID.”

Monique added: “But in her time off, Nat has been very busy, trying out new recipes, also making her way through her new wardrobe doing some early spring cleaning and organizing, due of being trapped in her bedroom.

Kochie told viewers that Nat has “cleaned out the bathroom cabinets too – that’s how boring she is.

‘Fast recovery’

The TV presenter assured fans that Nat was doing “pretty well”, attributing it to her four doses of the COVID vaccine.

“She’s fully vaccinated, of course — all four doses, her cough is pretty much gone,” he said.

“We wish him a speedy recovery.”

Kochie recalled talking to Nat’s husband, Drew, who “rolled his eyes” because Nat was sick.

“(Drew) claims she’s not sick?” Monique asked.

“Yeah, that’s the beauty of taking four doses. It’s fine,” Kochie replied.

Monique said she’s “surprised she had time to (clean and cook) because I was in iso last week with COVID and we were swapping TV shows.

“There’s a lot of TV going on, I don’t know how much cooking and sock drawer organizing is going on,” she said.

Kochie shared that Nat is expected to return to Brekky Central on Wednesday.

Barr spent a few days on holiday in Perth and on her return contracted the virus.

“Quick trip to Perth. Which seems to be doing a good job in the winter!” Barr captioned an Instagram selfie from Western Australia.
