Krafton India has released an official statement on the current issue of banning BGMI in India. In a statement addressed to all BGMI players, the CEO of Krafton India has given some assurances and confirmed that they are working with the authorities to resolve this matter.

BGMI, India’s most popular BR game, was recently banned by the government under Section 69 (A) of the IT Act. Sources close to TalkEsport claimed that this banning order relates to data privacy issues and BGMI’s ties to China.

The ban was put in place three days ago as BGMI was removed from Google Play and Apple’s App Store. TalkEsport was the first to break the news of BGMI’s ban in India and Krafton was in touch with the officials to resolve this issue. A Reuters report soon confirmed this and mentioned that the game was banned under Section 69(A) of the IT Act.

The entire BGMI community was demanding statements from the officials and they have provided some affirming words. BGMI professional and coach GodL Ghatak tweeted the official statement.
