Kylie Jenner defends ‘unsanitary’ lab photos: ‘I would never skip protocols’

Kylie Jenner hit back at haters slamming her recent lab photos for being “unhealthy”, accusing them of “spreading false information”.

The makeup mogul, 24, applauded comments on cosmetics developer Kevin James Bennett’s Instagram post which slammed her for not wearing “a hair net, shoe covers, [a] mask…and disposable GLOVES”.

Jenner wrote: “Kevin, this photo is not taken in a manufacturing facility. I would never skip health protocols and neither would any other celebrity or beauty brand owner.”

After agreeing that such actions would be “completely unacceptable”, the reality star wrote that she was in a “small and personal space” in the images released on Wednesday.

“[I was] creating my own fun samples and taking photos for content instead of mass-produced content,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum continued to write. “No one is putting customers at risk!”

He concluded: “Shame on you Kevin for spreading false information!!!!”

In Bennett’s response to Jenner, she accused the “Kardashians” star of being “serious.”[ly] gaslighting” his followers.

“So you were standing on a platform, looking at an expensive homogenizing kettle that had processed at least 50 liters of a skin product (the product that still covers the mixing paddles) with no PPE or tied hair, with a @weareregi lab coat? But isn’t this a cosmetic manufacturing facility? he asked. “Is this a personal space?”

Sources exclusively told Page Six that Jenner was not on the production floor when the photos and videos were taken, as she was simply checking colors and thinking of new concepts.

However, this was not made clear to Jenner’s fans, who have mixed feelings about the lab visit.

“Lots of brand owners take these photos. She’s not doing anything wrong and we have no way of knowing how involved she is in the formulation,” one Instagram user wrote.

Another added: “I’ve seen all kinds of scenarios in development labs, but hair uncovered near a teapot in production would never happen. Period.”
