Cowboys vs. Dragons, Friday at Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Cowboys: Todd Payten has decided to let Maroons representatives Reuben Cotter and Jeremiah Nanai rest, but Val Holmes will play. Tom Dearden returns to the top eight after losing round 13 on the Home team, so Ben Hampton leaves. Holmes was appointed by the band, but he and central midfielder Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow could change positions.

Dragons: Tariq Sims is out and is replaced on the sidelines by Josh McGuire, while Ben Hunt will play less than 48 hours after his Origin performance with the Maroons. Jaydn Su’A replaces Jayden Sullivan. Jonathon Reuben, who scored 107 tries in 106 appearances in the Queensland Cup, will make his band debut at the age of 28.
