Leading Conservative MP resigns after “testing drunk 2 men”

Another day, another disaster for Boris Johnson. Conservative MP Chris Pincher resigned on Thursday after he got drunk and palpated two men at a private club in London. “I drank too much last night,” Pincher wrote to Johnson in his resignation letter. “I have embarrassed myself and other people, which is the last thing I want to do and for that I apologize to you and those concerned.” Pincher resigned from his job as a Conservative deputy director, a figure responsible for party discipline, but is surprisingly willing to continue as a legislator, despite the howls of opposition protest. Actually, this is the second time Pincher has resigned from the whip office; in 2017, he retired after being accused of making unwanted advances toward a former Olympic oar. The news of Pincher’s resignation comes after the Conservative president resigned last week following a humiliating double electoral defeat for Johnson’s party.
