Pop sensation Ed Sheeran kicks off a four-night season tonight at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
Singer-songwriter Ed, who plays guitar and has now been a worldwide hit, will perform in front of nearly a quarter of a million fans over four shows.
Around 60,000 fans will gather in east Manchester, home of the Premier League champions, as he takes his math tour, which has been gaining rave reviews, to the city.

He has already played in front of a record audience at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
The doors of tonight’s show opened at 4pm and the first stand took to the stage at 6pm. However, a number of excited fans had already started queuing hours earlier to try to secure a privileged spot in front of the stage.
The Suffolk-born star, whose hits include The Shape of You, Castle on the Hill and Photograph, has previously played at the stadium in May 2018 as part of his Divide Tour record.
Her concerts kick off a massive weekend of live music in Manchester with the Parklife festival taking place on Saturday and Sunday with The Killers performing Emirates Old Trafford and Alicia Keys playing the AO Arena on Saturday.
