Saiss confirms the Wolves’ departure

Moroccan defender Romain Saiss has confirmed his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers after six years.

The former Angers defender joined when the club was still in the league and is leaving after playing more than 200 times in the Premier League.

“The most feared moment has come … the time to say goodbye to you after 6 wonderful years with you,” Saiss wrote on Instagram.

“It was an honor and a privilege to wear these colors and contribute to the success and renewal of this club. I have met exceptional people during these 6 years, always looking after me and my family.

“Thanks to the fans for your support despite the ups and downs, you have always been behind me. Thanks to the different people who work at the club for your kindness every day. Thanks to the different technical and medical teams for your work , for being an important part of our success.

“Finally, thank you to all the players I consider a family. An exceptional men’s locker room that I will never forget.

“Thank you Wolves. I’ll be a wolf forever.”
