A large fire broke out in a city center hotel before police quickly cordoned off the road.
Emergency services were called to Hatton Garden shortly before 2pm on Wednesday to report the blaze.
Shortly afterwards, police and firefighters cordoned off the road and began directing people in the area.
There are currently eight fire engines, several police cars and an ambulance in response to incidents at the scene.
