Many Liverpool fans took to the streets to welcome their team on Sunday afternoon despite losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid.
Jurgen Klopp’s side fell 1-0 to Paris at the weekend thanks to a Vinicius Jr. goal in the second half. The Reds had a chance to take the lead on Thibaut Courtois’s dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled away as his shot went just over the bar after 29 minutes.
However, the Reds still received a warm welcome as they made their victory parade after winning both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup. The disappointment at the Stade de France was a mere distant memory when the bus turned towards Strand and was swallowed up by a red sea.

Both trophies were shown to fans who watched as they celebrated the efforts of Liverpool players this season. The Reds lost the Premier League trophy after winning the title by one point at Manchester City on the final day.
Liverpool also ended up playing in every possible match this season (65), and the fans were all over the city to appreciate their commitment and passion. The turnout did not go unnoticed, as many of the staff turned to social media to thank the fans for their unmatched support.
Thiago admitted he was left “speechless” by the Liverpool scenes, while Andy Robertson said the reception “meant everything” to the players, who have fought non-stop on all fronts of the campaign. Jordan Henderson said on Twitter, “I didn’t think it would have been possible after last night, but today has been one of the best days of my life. Thank you Reds.”
Goalkeeper Adrian also shared a video on the bus with the caption, “I will NEVER delete this video. YNWA.”
