Lizzo has heard the scream of her fans and is ready to change the lyrics to her hit single “GRRRLS”.
Today, Lizzo announced on social media that he will release a new version of the song GRRRLS to remove an insult “sp * z” that appears in the previous version.
“I was struck by the fact that there is a harmful word in my new song ‘GRRRLS’,” he shared in a post on Twitter. “Let me clarify one thing: I never want to promote derogatory language. As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had a lot of hurtful words against me, so I go beyond the power that words can have (either intentionally or in my case, unintentionally), ”she continued.“ I’m proud to say that there is a new version of GRRRLS with a font change. This is the result of listening and acting. As an influential artist, I dedicate myself to being part of the change I hope to see in the world. ”
The lyrics say, “Grab my bag, bitch, grab my bag. Do you see that shit? I’m an x ** z.”
People rushed to address the letter as a Twitter user explained and explained why the word is harmful to the mentally handicapped and mentally ill community.
Hi @lizzo, my disability Cerebral palsy is literally classified as spastic diplegia (where spasticity refers to an endless painful oppression in my legs) your new song makes me quite angry + sad. ‘Spaz’ doesn’t mean scared or crazy. It is an habilitative insult. We are in 2022. Do it better.

The musician received a deluge of criticism of the lyrics that prompted him to announce his decision to change the lyrics.
Lizzo’s Special album will be released on July 15 and the first single, “About Damn Time” is already one of the top 10 hits.
