Local News Hogan Responds to Privacy Commissioner’s Concerns About NL Election Report

Justice Minister John Hogan is responding to concerns that the privacy commissioner was instructed to review the wording in a report by the Citizen’s Rep on allegations of harassment and harassment in Elections NL.

Hogan says that was not the case.

He says the letter that was sent asked for help and states that “there was no word of guidance.” Hogan cites legislation that allows the commissioner to provide reasonable assistance. However, Hogan says that due to a conflict of interest, assistance cannot be offered.
