Newfoundland and Labrador has the highest life satisfaction rate in any province in the country.
This is according to new data published by Statistics Canada.
According to his figures, just over 61% of people gave a “life satisfaction score” between eight and ten.
This figure is well above the Canadian average of 51%.
If broken down by gender, the rate was 66% for men in this province, also the highest in Canada.
The figure was 57 percent for women, which is above the national average of 50 percent, and only behind Quebec nationwide.
Statistics Canada looked at six factors that contribute to quality of life, half of which are related to social connections, such as life satisfaction, sense of purpose and purpose, future prospects, loneliness, having someone to count on and belong to the local community.
Statistics suggest that Ontario is the loneliest province, with 15% of people saying they always or often felt lonely, while 59% of people in that province said they rarely or never felt alone. .
