The RNC is looking for possible camera or CCTV footage of the Thorburn Road area in St. John’s after an overnight shooting incident.
Calls began to arrive around 2:45 a.m. this morning from possible gunfire in the area of Thorburn Road, west of Exmouth Street.
A Campbell Avenue woman could hear the sound, which she described as a quick “Pop, pop, pop, pop.”
Patrol officers discovered a vehicle fire in the general area, but there was no immediate indication that shots had been fired.
At around 6:20 a.m., they received reports of gun damage to a house. RNC agent James Cadigan says forensics are on the scene to conduct their investigation and ask anyone with information to contact the RNC or Crimestoppers.
He says they believe the shooting took place before 3 a.m. and are looking for any information members of the public may have to help with the investigation.
