The emergency services at United States Memorial Hospital in St. Lawrence will be closed on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and over the weekend from Saturday, July 23rd at 8:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 24th at 8:00 p.m.
Patients with a medical emergency who require an ambulance should call 911, while those with a serious or urgent medical problem should go to the Burin Peninsula Health Center in Burin or the Grand Bank clinic.
Whitbourne ER closure
Meanwhile, emergency services at Whitbourne Health Center will be closed for the whole of next week from Monday 25 July from 8am to 8am on Monday 1 August.
Obstetric and surgical services at Burin Hospital are closed until 4:00 p.m. Friday due to the temporary unavailability of anesthesia services.
