Last week, it was rumored that Lori Harvey was separating from actor Michael B. Jordan with whom she dated for more than a year. Although a source close to the couple told People on June 4 that the couple resigned, neither star has confirmed the breakup. That didn’t stop the Internet from losing its collective mind when they saw Jordan sitting next to the track on Sunday at the NBA Finals with a broken heart. Yesterday, E! News reported that Harvey completely wiped out his Jordan Instagram feed.

People’s sources also believe that Jordan wanted to move forward in the relationship and eventually marry Harvey, but he was not interested in going in that direction. “Michael matured a lot throughout their relationship and was ready to make a long-term commitment. It is worth repeating that none of this has been confirmed by any of the parties involved. However, the Internet was on fire with its own vision of division. Some have argued that with Jordan so financially invested in the relationship, Harvey owed him marriage. Others have claimed that Harvey will never do better than Jordan.
These two famous, rich and attractive celebrities will go on and on. The fact is, Harvey’s personal life has always been fodder for gossip and he has been unfairly placed under a microscope. He briefly engaged to Memphis Depay football player in 2017. It has since been rumored that Harvey had dated stars such as Sean Combs, Trey Songz and Future.
It doesn’t take long for hate to be directed at Harvey online. She has previously received a negative reaction for sharing skin care tips and weight loss secrets. Apparently, people have trouble accepting that what works for Harvey may not work for them, he said, but that doesn’t stop the constant disrespect. This same rule applies to the alleged breakup with Jordan.
Although it is pure speculation, if Harvey did not feel comfortable taking Jordan seriously, who is 10 years older than her, he has every right to leave. What’s really disturbing is the big difference in Harvey’s treatment compared to men like Future and Nick Cannon. According to Wikipedia, the first is “the father of at least eight children, each with different wives.” Cannon was in the news recently because she was expecting her eighth child with Abby De La Rosa, with whom she already has twins.
The internet doesn’t tell these men that they owe nothing to these women, even if they have children. Nor do people say that Future and Nick Cannon should settle down in their old age. The hypocrisy between them and Harvey is painfully strong. It doesn’t make much sense either.
Eventually, the outrage will go away and both celebrities will go out with other people the world will love or hate to hate. But in the meantime, Harvey will do what he has always done: keep everyone angry just by living his best life.
