A hot, humid week is expected for Mississauga and Brampton residents, as the humidex reaches 34 degrees Celsius and the possibility of showers persists.
There will be a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of today with increasing cloud cover as evening falls. The possibility of a storm at night with a minimum of 19 degrees Celsius.
Monday (July 18) will remain mostly cloudy with a 70 percent chance of showers in the morning. Showers can become a storm when the maximum reaches 27 degrees Celsius, being like 34 with humidex.
The temperature will reach a low of just 20 degrees Celsius Monday night.
A mix of sun and clouds continues on Tuesday (July 19) with a 30 percent chance of showers and a high of 31.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says significant heat is expected on Tuesday with parts of southern Ontario, including Mississauga and Brampton, at risk for heat-related illnesses.
The threat is considered moderate on a mild, moderate, high and extreme scale.

Even more rain is expected for Wednesday and Thursday, with the sky still cloudy and a high chance of showers. A heat criteria notice can also be reached on Wednesday.
Friday (July 22) returns a small amount of sun with the high temperature at 30 degrees Celsius.
ECCC records a maximum normal average for this time of year at 27 degrees Celsius.
