Love may be blind, but this reality couple clearly struggled to find their way to a bright future together without a camera crew.
The latest marriage on Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” Season 2 was announced Sunday, with Danielle Ruhl filing for divorce from Nick Thompson on Aug. 15, according to documents obtained exclusively by TMZ .
The news came after a separate update from the only other couple to make it past their wedding at the end of season two, Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones: The duo announced in a joint statement posted on Instagram on 17 August than them, will also move forward with the divorce process.

Perhaps it was this summer’s scorching rays that shed some light on deeper-rooted issues with relationships, which began with an isolation pod-mediated encounter on the show between these fleeting reality dating contenders triumphant

As Ruhl told Page Six in March, finding a “structure” around his partnership with Thompson “after coming back to reality” had proved challenging.
The couple even alluded to their attempts to “duplicate” the circumstances around which they met.
The news of the divorce certainly came as a surprise to fans, as the couple seemed to be going strong over the past few months. Instagram/dnellruhl
“It led to many trips. It led to spending a lot of time with friends and family and actually scheduling it,” Thompson said at the time. “We made sure to keep a little bit of a routine, so we could continue to build on the foundation that we had.”
Still, the pair appeared to have gone strong over the past few months, with the most recent photos shared on social media of them together, which showed the now-ex-couple apparently having a good time at Lollapalooza, posted on Ruhl’s Instagram in August. 1.
And as recently as July, Ruhl was explaining her intentions for her and Thompson to renew their vows in the near future. “On our two or three year anniversary, we really want to redo a reception to make sure all of our families can be there,” she told Us Weekly last month. “I’ve always dreamed of my dream wedding and wedding planning and a bachelorette party. And so we will do everything… when we have time.”
However, Ruhl seems to be on the up already, having shared stories on her Instagram late last week that depicted her hanging out with castmates from the show’s second season, with a snap which shows the four women beaming as they stood on an outdoor balcony.
