Jacques O’Neill of Love Island has revealed that he knew Cheyanne Kerr before going to the show.
The reality star surprised fans when he decided to “light up” with the new Cheyanne bomb when he teamed up with Paige Thorne, who was in the other village, Casa Amor.
Ever since he left town, the rugby player has admitted that he knew Cheyanne as a teenager and was actually in love with her.
“Cheyanne is a lovely girl, I’ve known her since she was 19. It was weird because she wanted to go out with her at the time,” Jacques told The Sun.

It was a coincidence that they both entered the ITV2 dating show at the same time, which also saw Jacques ’ex-girlfriend, Gemma Owen, in the lineup.
After spending time with Cheyanne in the village, Jacques realized that the duo would only be friends.
He said, “While chatting with her I found out that nothing would come close to what I had with Paige. But from the moment I kissed her on the bed I felt the worst I’ve ever felt in my life.” .
Since leaving town, Jacques has said he was forced to watch episodes of Casa Amor to face his “actions.”

“I watched the episodes of Casa Amor torture me and watch my actions,” he continued. “I was disgusted with myself, I understand the hatred. I feel pretty sleepy, I’ll wait for Paige outside, but I won’t watch the show again, I can’t do it.”
During her time on the show, Jacques and her mother received online abuse, which led her to live with her sister.
His mother, Janet Wright, told The Sun: “For the first two weeks, Jacques was so funny, I think everyone loved him. That’s when he started to change. I just didn’t understand why people had to send. such nasty comments “.
She admitted that she felt “relieved” when Jacques left the village, as she was “overwhelmed” to see him at the live shows and the troll that followed.
