A man and a woman are fleeing after they allegedly caused a dramatic car accident in west Melbourne and then fled the scene once they were helped out of the overturned car.
They were in a silver Holden sedan that allegedly hit a red Suzuki at the intersection of Coburns Road and Perry Close in Melton around 7 p.m.
The force of the crash pushed the Suzuki into a power pole, dropped the stick and caused the Holden to turn sideways, police said.
The accident hit an electric pole. (new)
The woman driving the Suzuki suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
A man and a woman were helped out of Holden before fleeing the scene.
Firefighters rushed to the scene along with police for concern about the liquid leaking from one of the cars after the crash.

Police have asked that anyone who witnessed the collision or have information or camera footage related to the crash be contacted.
