Man charged with murder after missing woman’s body found dumped in Dural

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered dumped in bushland in Sydney’s Hills district on Saturday evening.

The body has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be that of missing woman Shereen Kumar, 43. Police said she disappeared in her pajamas after leaving her home on Taylors Road in Dural on Wednesday night.

The body was located shortly before 6pm on Saturday by police who scoured the woods off Laurie Road in Dural, a few minutes’ drive from Kumar’s home.

The accused man, 37, was arrested later that night at a house on Taylors Road in Dural and taken to Hornsby Police Station where he was charged with the woman’s domestic murder.
