A man has been admitted to hospital with serious neck injuries following an altercation in the town center on Sunday afternoon.
The victim, aged around 30, has been taken to hospital. His injuries are described as “serious” but not life-threatening.

Wiltshire Police then carried out a full search of the area and arrested a local man in his 30s on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He is currently being held at Gablecross Police Station.
The seating area outside Costa Coffee remains cordoned off this evening as forensic officers comb the area.
Detective Inspector Rachel Hardy, of Swindon CID, said: “I know this incident will have caused concern within the local community, particularly given that it happened on a busy Sunday afternoon in the town centre.
Forensic officers are combing The Parade.
“I am pleased to report that we made a quick arrest and now have a suspect in custody.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to get in touch.”
