Manchester United have reportedly made a new £ 69m (€ 80m) bid for Porto Evanilson striker after their initial bid was rejected.
The Brazilian has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season while helping his club win the Portuguese title. Erik ten Hag’s transfer plans include the signing of a surprising support for Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Edinson Cavani leaving the club this summer, Mason Greenwood unavailable, questioning the future of Anthony Martial and the poor form of Marcus Rashford, United have no options at the top end of the pitch. The club was said to be chasing Darwin Núñez before Liverpool snatched him from his hands.

However, O Jogo (via Sport Witness) reports that United now has its heart set on Evanilson and will launch a new bid after its initial £ 56 million bid was rejected. Another Portuguese media Record suggests, however, that a departure from Porto could depend on the departure of Vitinha amidst the interest of Paris Saint-Germain.
Brighton and Wolves were chasing Evanilson until they found out about his price. United may be willing to pay more for the striker if Porto rejects a second approach.
Meanwhile, journalist Fabrizio Romano says Dean Henderson has agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest. He added that an agreement could be reached as early as this week with ongoing talks.
The goalkeeper had a frustrating season last season, with only three times in total. It was linked to a change in Newcastle earlier this month before negotiations failed.
