Nintendo has detailed the second part of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC headed to your Nintendo Switch on August 4th, and there are some good games on the list.
The N64 classic Kalimari Desert is included, as well as the DS masterpiece Waluigi Pinball. Mario Kart Wii’s Mushroom Gorge, Mario Kart Advance’s Snow Land, and SNES’s Mario Circuit 3 are also there.
These are joined by New York Minute and Sydney Spring from smartphone spin-off Mario Kart Tour, plus the new Sky-High Sundae track, a future addition to Mario Tour.
The second wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC tracks is shown.
48 new songs will be added to the game over the next 18 months, in six waves. We already had the first, of course, in March. Now, four months later, we have eight more tracks in Mario Kart history.
Additional tracks are available as a one-off purchase of £22.49, which covers all 48 courses, or can be accessed as part of the Nintendo Switch Online Premium subscription service + Expansion Pack.
A look at the first wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC songs.
“Superb new tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe prove the original is still the best,” wrote our Martin in Eurogamer’s roundup of Wave 1, which included Mario Kart Wii’s Coconut Mall, Mario’s Choco Mountain 64 and Tokyo Blur from Mario Kart. rotate “It’s a comfortable game, yes, but it’s also comforting to spend time with something that flies so close to perfection.”
