Masked men armed with gun pub storm “looking for someone”

Three “masked” men who stormed a pub with guns said they were “looking for someone.”

Merseyside police rushed to the Arrowe Park Hotel on Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Wirral, around 5:50 p.m., Monday, June 27, following reports of an incident inside. Once at the scene, police said three men entered the pub armed with weapons.

The men said they were “looking for” someone before searching the building and then running out of the pub. The three men then left the scene in a car, possibly a BMW according to police.

Inspector Emma Kerrigan said: “We are in the early stages of an investigation and are investigating to establish what happened and why the criminals were in the pub and who they were looking for. We will not tolerate the use of violence or intimidation. on the streets of Merseyside and we are relentless in our search for those involved in violent crime.

“Extensive research is being carried out and patrols in the area have been intensified to reassure the local community. Arrowe Park Road would have been very busy at this time of day and would appeal to any motorist who has been captured. board camera footage, or local residents with CCTV contacting us as they may have footage that may prove vital to our investigation. ”

Investigations are underway and officers are doing door-to-door diligence. They are also examining CCTV footage to try to identify those involved.

The first man is described as white, of large build / overweight. He wore a full gray tracksuit, with large black pockets, black slippers, and a black hoodie with a black hood.

The second man is described as a white male of medium build. He wore a balaclava, a black padded coat with a brightly colored logo on the left side, black tracksuit pants, and black sneakers.

The third man was dressed in black and had his face completely covered. He was wearing a black coat, black jeans or black tracksuit pants and slippers.

ECHO previously reported how the pub was cordoned off on June 8 after three men “ran inside to protect themselves.” The men were supposed to shout that they had been shot from a car.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and a large police cordon was seen while the coroner was working. A separate cordon was also seen below Church Lane.
