Masked men break into the women’s house with a terrifying robbery

Four men have been arrested after two robberies in Merseyside yesterday that saw a person sprayed with an unknown substance and a woman assaulted.

At around 11.40am on Saturday 4 June on Burbo Bank Road in Blundellsands, a group of men wearing face masks were reportedly forced into a house. They stole a lot of jewelry and sprayed the victim with an unknown substance before fleeing.

Shortly afterwards, around 12:50 p.m., officers received a second report of a robbery at Hillcrest Lodge on Cuckoo Lane in Gateacre, where a man knocked on the property door and forcibly entered the address. followed by three more men. A woman was then assaulted on the farm and a large amount of jewelery was taken away before she fled the area.

Officers attended the address and saw a blue Audi S4 in the area that was abandoned after a police chase in Hale Village. After a thorough search of the area, officers arrested four men aged 25, 34, 27 and 24 from Liverpool and Cardiff and took them to a Merseyside police station where they remain detained.

Detectives are currently searching for a fifth suspect and are asking for more information on both thefts.

Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: “This was clearly a terrifying incident for the occupants of both houses. Fortunately, they were not seriously injured, but they were obviously visibly distressed by their evidence.

“Although we have made four arrests, we are still looking for a fifth suspect and we are appealing to anyone in Blundellsands or Gateacre who saw this group of men yesterday afternoon or who saw or heard something suspicious to contact We are especially appealing for any taxi driver or delivery driver to check their picture camera to see if they have captured the blue Audi or something significant.
