Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle has been hit with backlash after the launch of her new podcast, featuring tennis star Serina Williams.
The first episode of Archetypes, which explores female stereotypes, premiered on Tuesday.
Serena Williams revealed during the first episode of the new podcast series Archetypes that she put off growing her family as long as possible in order to continue her tennis career.
The recently retired tennis champion told her longtime friend that she wasn’t allowed the luxury of time her male peers were when it came to raising a family.
Royal commentator Angela Levin seemed unimpressed by this as she hit out at the Duchess and her podcast on Twitter, saying: “Meghan’s first podcast is out. She and Serena Williams are laughing with lots of ‘oh my gosh'” .
“Meghan encourages him to complain about how a woman holds them back and how they’re victims. You can’t make it up.”
In response to criticism of the royal biographer, Twitter user @locket321 added: “Every story/anecdote he offers is always based on our royal family – he seems to have nothing more to offer than that.”
Not everyone was critical of the podcast, with many fans of the mother-of-two taking to social media to share their excitement at its release.
The user, called @shelbbs247, wrote: “Duchess Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated #Archetypes podcast is HERE. I’m so excited – I don’t want to talk about anything else!”
However, speaking about her new podcast Archetypes, the Duchess of Sussex said audiences will get to know the “real me” on the podcast.
