Royal expert Ingrid Seward admitted that the arrangement of the seats at St Paul’s was intended to prevent Prince Harry and Prince William from meeting face to face.
Ingrid told Fabulous: “The excuse was that since they are no longer working members, they should literally take a back seat.
“The reality is that the Palace was determined that there would be no photographs that could reveal any animosity among the brothers.
“Becoming a ‘second-rate royal’ is hard to swallow for Harry.”
The couple were on opposite sides of the cathedral, as Kate and William sat in the front row with Prince Charles and Camilla, while Harry and Meghan sat next to their cousins Princess Eugenia and Beatrice and husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. and Jack Brooksbank.
Writing for The Mail, Royal Expert Richard Kay claimed that the seating arrangement showed the “public reality” of Harry’s sliding in the royal hierarchy, marking Charles, Camilla, William and Kate as the ” real stars of the show “.
