Two men have been charged with allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy on a Melbourne tram earlier this year.
The arrests were made following a police briefing.
The teenager was assaulted on a streetcar at Southern Cross Railroad Station on Saturday, April 23, around 9:15 p.m.
Police said the teen was involved in a verbal altercation with two men before he was assaulted and trampled on.
A 40-year-old South Melbourne man has been charged with fighting and committing a felony charge while on bail.
He was expected to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Sunday.
A 37-year-old man from St Kilda has been charged with a brawl and has been released on bail to return to court in October.
