Ben Beaumont was not detained when two teenagers were found guilty of murdering their son Angus after the 15-year-old was stabbed to death in a robbery in north Brisbane.
“Could you go to hell, wild scum … who’s laughing now?” He said.

Angus died after being stabbed 14 cm in the chest and heart in a fight with the two teenagers, whose names cannot be named, in Redcliffe in March 2020.
The two boys were 14 at the time. One is now 16 and the other is 17.
CCTV footage of the incident was shown during the Supreme Court trial with Angus’ parents, Ben Beaumont and Michelle Liddle, looking on with tears.
After the jury’s verdict was handed down on Thursday, Beaumont pointed at the two teenagers as they sat with their faces blank in court.
Sitting next to a weeping liddle, Beaumont threw his blast before looking at the families and fans of the teens on the other side of the court, separated by security.

“Oh God,” was all Liddle said before breaking up again.
There were also tears between the families and supporters of the two teenagers, with one woman shouting “this is a bull ****” and another repeatedly saying “kangaroo court”.
Beaumont also did not hide his emotions out of court after enduring CCTV footage during the trial, which also appeared to show the two teenagers congratulating each other while Angus was dying on the ground nearby.

“Seeing how they killed our son and then bumping into each other for a job well done, well, today I haven’t seen any five shots in there,” he said.
CCTV footage captured the March 2020 incident that took place after teenagers chased a group of young people including Angus and tried to steal their cannabis.
With dusters and a knife from another member of his group, Angus decided to “take a stand” and confronted the duo, telling them to “go.”

But after taking only three steps toward them, Angus faced off in a two-on-one fight, without lifting the knife until they had stabbed him in the chest.
CCTV footage showed one of the teenagers attempting another strike as the 10th grader fell to the ground.
A homicide weapon was never recovered, but the 14-cm depth of the wound suggested it was “bigger than your average steak knife” and a witness had described it as a hunting knife.
The two teenagers will be sentenced later.
“My son was robbed and killed. Laws need to change to imprison these children, these violent criminals, “Beaumont said.

“Concurrent conviction doesn’t work, anonymity doesn’t work … for repeat offenders; we’ve had enough.”
Liddle said the verdict was bittersweet.
“It doesn’t bring our son back, but I don’t think it’s just a victory for us, it’s a victory for other victims of juvenile delinquency,” he told reporters.
“If they don’t have repercussions, that’s what happens. Victims are created … just like us. It’s just not fair.
“If our son had lived, he would have had problems, he would have been landed … but we don’t have that luxury. He has left and will not return home. “
A verdict was reached after the trial before Judge David Jackson after less than a day of jury deliberations.
