Although the Jubilee weekend has so far seen a gust of warm weather and a lot of sunshine, the Met Office has warned that things will soon get worse.
A yellow warning has been issued for weather storms in large parts of England, including the North West and Greater Manchester. The yellow warning will be in force on Sunday 5 June from 12 noon to 6 pm.
Storms run the risk of flooding homes and businesses with possible damage to some buildings due to flooding and lightning. In areas where floods or lightning may occur, delays in train and bus services are expected.

Rebekah Sherwin, deputy chief meteorologist for the Meteorological Office, said: on Sunday, which could sometimes become loud and thunderous.
“However, there will also be some breaks in the cloud right here, and the northern areas are more likely to stay well and dry.”
It comes shortly after a similar yellow warning was issued on Saturday, which saw parts of the south of England suffer the most from severe weather.

Met Office meteorologist Steven Keates added: “There is a kind of north / south divide in our weather over the weekend, with the southern areas suffering from the weight of a couple of rounds of heavy rain and storms. and areas further north that look good, dry and some warm, and sunny weather as well.
“So pretty big contrasts in the UK, but for some of us the weather could cause some problems over the next few days and at the very least be inconvenient as there are a lot of outdoor plans and parties that I hope in the minds of many people. ”
