Microsoft will take longer to launch its streaming box set on the planned Xbox cloud and said it has decided to “move away” from the current iteration of the device.
Although the device, codenamed Keystone, has never been formally displayed, previous leaks pointed to a mini box similar to a small Xbox Series S, which acted as a hub for Ethernet, USB, and HDMI ports.
The Xbox plan, which seems to be still in effect, though not in the immediate future, is to launch Keystone as a small gadget capable of streaming Xbox Game Pass titles to any monitor or TV screen without the need for additional console hardware. .

WindowsCentral reported today on the current iteration of Xbox Keystone, which after testing will return to the oven before resurfacing as a consumer product.
Microsoft has confirmed the report and said it is still dedicated to finally launching the Keystone project.
“Our vision for Xbox Cloud Gaming is unwavering. Our goal is to allow people to play the games they want, the devices they want, wherever they want,” a Microsoft spokesman said. “As announced last year, we have been working on a gaming device, codenamed Keystone, which could be connected to any TV or monitor without the need for a console.
“As part of any technical journey, we are constantly evaluating our efforts, reviewing our learning and making sure that we are adding value to our customers. We have made the decision to move away from the current iteration of the Keystone device. our learning and refocusing our efforts on a new approach that will allow us to offer Xbox Cloud Gaming to more gamers around the world in the future. ”
So don’t expect Keystone to show up on the Xbox showcase next June 12th.
