Microsoft is testing some updates to the Microsoft Store on Windows 11 that will improve the way updates are handled. Some apps in the store are currently closing and reopening while they’re being updated, which means you might lose your job if you open the Microsoft Store and select update apps. Microsoft is now testing a change in the store that will skip updates to open applications.
The store update also includes faster browsing, which should make it a little easier to find apps to download and install on Windows 11. In addition to these browsing enhancements, Microsoft also introduces support native to Arm64, so the Microsoft Store will be much faster on devices. like the Surface Pro X.

Finally, Microsoft is expanding its support for emerging stores to Android applications. If you browse the web and find an Android app in the Amazon Appstore, Windows 11 will show you a pop-up store experience that will allow you to install it quickly.
This latest Microsoft Store update is available for Windows Insiders on the Dev channel and should be available to all Windows 11 users in the coming months. Microsoft is also testing a new restore feature for the Microsoft Store, which allows Windows 11 users to quickly reinstall applications on a new computer.
