Turn to Joe Keery, TikTok has crowned his new white boy of the month: Miles Teller. But specifically when he does this little shoulder movement in Top Gun: Maverick.
Every few weeks or so, TikTok finds a new white man to obsess over. Before that it was Jonathan Bailey of Bridgerton. Then there was Joe Keery of Stranger Things (in which I participated wholeheartedly). Now it’s Miles Teller and honestly … I see it. I hate to see it. But I do see it.
It all started with a specific scene in Top Gun: Maverick, by Miles Teller making a joke with the boys before he just … does it.
What thing? I don’t know what it’s called. A little dancing? A shoulder movement? A shimmy shimmy? Whatever you want to call him, he did the thing, and the result is such a powerful spell that his powers have caught girls, gays, and people from all over the world.

Now look. While some are just discovering Miles Teller now (completely understandable), it’s been a while. Remember Whiplash (2014) ??? An amazing movie, an amazing performance, and that’s why it was always hot, a little, a little. I’m sorry for my friends I know they’ll take me off to say it. Girls who get it, get it. Girls who don’t, no.
So Top Gun: Maverick is easily an instant classic. Obviously.
