The new Minisforum NUC X15 and X17 Mini-PC run on the new Intel NUC X15, with Intel’s 11th generation “Tiger Lake” CPUs: the Minisforum X15I5 includes an Intel Core i5-11400H CPU + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU – which offers 6 cores and 12 wires up to 4.5 GHz.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 mobile GPU is inside, using the GA106 GPU and 6GB of GDDR6 memory, but the high-end model slightly increases those specifications. Minisforum’s high-end NUCX17 uses the Core i7-12800H processor (8 cores and 16 wires), while we have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU, with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit memory bus.

Both systems support up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 2 PCIe M.2 2280 slots for M.2 SSDs, as well as 1 HDMI output and 1 Thunderbolt 4 for connectivity. There are also 2.5 GbE quality networks for enthusiasts, 3 USB 3.2 Type A ports, headphone jack and an SD card reader.

In terms of design, Minisforum uses a super thin design with a perforated cover to ventilate the heat, while as these systems are part of the Intel NUC family of systems, they have the iconic Intel “skull” logo for The mark.
