Jurgen Klopp reviews the defeat of the Champions League final against Real Madrid
Mo Salah admits he wants the new season to begin immediately after his near-accidents with Liverpool.
The Egyptian enjoyed another stellar year on a personal level, claiming a third Golden Boot on the way to being named Player of the Year for Football Writers. However, his efforts in front of goal were not enough to push the Reds into the Premier League or the Champions League.
Salah scored 31 goals in all competitions, most of which came in the first half of the year. The striker helped the Reds win both national cups, defeating Chelsea on penalties on both occasions. But they lost the quadruple as two trophies overtook them in the space of six days.
Liverpool apologize for the chaos in the Champions League, but French officials still blame fans that Jurgen Klopp risks losing Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo of Liverpool.
Now the 29-year-old wants to play again immediately after falling short in Europe. He wrote on social media: “I can’t express in words how much we wanted to bring this trophy to Liverpool, but in the end we couldn’t. I can’t thank your fans enough for their support. It’s been a very long season but part of me wishes let the next one start again tomorrow “.
Salah has confirmed that he will be at Anfield next season even though his contract is in his final year. Conversations have been going on for much of the campaign, but no solution has yet been found with the club. The striker, however, has no intention of leaving.
He recently said: “I don’t want to talk about the contract now, I’m sure I’ll stay next season, that’s clear.” Beyond that, though Salah’s next move remains uncertain. The 29-year-old is open to joining one of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals if he leaves Merseyside.

Salah is a legendary figure at Anfield, but he would have no problem joining a national rival if he decided to look for a new challenge. He would rather stay in England, which would open the door to any of the clubs in Manchester or Chelsea, who previously unloaded him.
Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon has led negotiations with Salah’s agent, but there have been no face-to-face talks since December, according to Athletic. It was then clear that there was a big difference between the player’s financial wishes and what the club was willing to offer.
Salah, however, has insisted that his long conversations are not reduced to money. Before he told FourFourTwo. “I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract, it’s not all about money. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly. I have a year left and the fans know what I want. ”
