Cases of monkeypox are on the rise in Canada as part of an ongoing global outbreak.
The viral illness, which often presents as a flu-like infection with a rash, is spread through close personal contact with those who have a symptomatic case. Vaccinations are offered to those most at risk.
The World Health Organization declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern on 23 July.
The Public Health Agency of Canada tracks publicly reported cases across the country, updating the number of confirmed monkeypox infections in each province and territory weekly.
The federal numbers do not differentiate between active and recovered cases, although the PHAC says it continues to collect and analyze epidemiological information about the number of infections in this country.
