The final episode of Ms. Marvel came out yesterday at Disney + and set up the upcoming appearance of Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) in The Marvels. Fans are excited to see what’s next for Kamala, as well as for Vellani, who has won hearts as an extremely related fan of the franchise. Vellani has talked about his MCU opinions and has a history of reading comics. In the past, he expressed his love for Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. In fact, he recently revealed that he can “recite the first five minutes of Iron Man with stage directions.” However, Vellani is not entirely ready to meet his hero. The actor recently participated in a Reddit AMA and was asked when he will meet Downey Jr.
“I think about it literally every day … right now I don’t want to meet him. I’ve been much better off not putting celebrities on the pedestals and humanizing them, but I’m not prepared to do it just with RDJ. Yet,” he shared Vellani.
Recently, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige praised Vellani’s commitment to Marvel’s broader history, revealing that he carried a notebook full of ideas and comments.
“Like Tom Holland and Peter Parker, Iman is a much bigger Marvel fan than we thought,” Feige told Empire Magazine. “[On set] he carries this Unabomber notebook everywhere, with his scribbles and ideas. And why wouldn’t we want to hear them? Not only for him to star, but he would comment on the program online. So it’s best to comment before the program ends and try to incorporate some of these ideas. “
In addition to Vellani, Ms. Marvel stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff and Mohan Kapur. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directed the first and sixth chapters of the program. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directed three more episodes while Meera Menon directed one.
“The fact that the show is being done and that they include this character on the MCU is like that [what’s important]”Vellani explained during a previous interview.” I really don’t have to get out of my way and talk about being Muslim and being Pakistani; everything comes out in the program.
