‘My Time at Sandrock’ outperforms ‘My Time at Portia’

The latest Pathea Games title My Time at Sandrock has already surpassed the all-time simultaneous player record of My Time at Portia on Steam.

The sequel to My Time at Portia was released on May 26 in early access and has already surpassed the best of a lifetime of the first game of 13,299 players, with 18,500 (via PCGamer).

On May 28, the game peaked at 21,778 concurrent players, according to the SteamDB site, but it seems to have dropped to just over 14,990 players to date (May 30).

My Time At Sandrock is set in a desert community where the player will take on the role of a budding builder. They have to use their toolkit to gather resources, build machines and turn their dilapidated workshop into a well-oiled production facility.

As the game description explains, “After accepting a job offer to become the new builder of Sandrock, you’ll reach the wild and rugged city-state, where it’s up to you and your trusted tools to restore Gather resources to build machines, make friends with the locals, and defend Sandrock from the monsters, while saving the city from economic ruin!

It features an open world of vast deserts surrounding the city-state of Sandrock, as well as ancient ruins that the player can explore to discover relics of the Old World. NPCs have extensive stories and side missions, and the game offers players the option to switch between melee combat and third-person shooting mechanics during battle.

There are also interactive mini-games, a way to cultivate and harvest crops and make a profit through the personal workshop. Pathea Games has also confirmed that the multiplayer mode will arrive soon.

In other news, Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords will hit Nintendo Switch next month.
