Netflix has crashed as millions of people tried to stream the long-awaited volume two of Stranger Things 4.
Undoubtedly, Friday night’s plans have been affected across the country by the disruption, which was delivered to viewers with the dreaded “network error” message.
The second volume of Stranger Things 4 fell on Monday at 5pm AEST.
The DownDetector outage detection website detected a massive rebound shortly after 5pm in Australia, with thousands of people reporting problems with the service.
It is understood that the problem mainly affects mobile users.
Furious social media users took to Twitter to complain about the disruption.
It is understood the outage is only affecting a few users, with dozens of Aussies heading to social media to report that they had no trouble accessing the hit Netflix TV series.
Earlier, Netflix in India fell short after the new release of Stranger Things.
Users received an error message telling them that there was a problem connecting to the servers.
Devastated fans responded to the announcement of Netflix’s Twitter account about Stranger Things now streaming, asking the company to urgently fix the technical issue.
“Netflix is literally down and a lot of people are trying to watch it right now,” read one response.
Others like an answer that said they lost their sanity as a result of the accident.
Netflix has yet to publicly respond to the crash. News.com.au has contacted the company for comments.
