Members of the Union of Vampire Hunters with card Image: Netflix
Urban Fantasy often heads for the neon blue filter of the night, but in Day Shift, an upcoming Netflix and Jamie Foxx action movie, vampire hunters fight the leeches of life under the seventy-two and sunny Los Angeles climate. After revealing the trailer via Twitter, Netflix proudly declares that the film is “from the people who taught John Wick to kick his ass,” which may not be an understatement.

Faced with his family’s impending move, Jamie Foxx laments the low paychecks he receives from selling vampire pieces now that he has left the Union. As he tries to regain the hunter’s alliance thanks, his old friend (Snoop Dogg) helps him, giving him advice and making a good word for him. Also, it’s good for Day Shift to recognize that you get more money working in a union store than not working on your own. We love to see solidarity.
Day shift Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco and Snoop Dogg | Official trailer Netflix
Lightweight in any plot as far as I can see and heavy with monster hunting, Day Shift looks like an action comedy to laugh a minute with some contorting funny vampires and lots of shots. Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco star in, and they seem to be doing the kind of character work they do best, the first full of dark humor and menacing one-line phrases with a heart of gold, the second a kind guy and sincere self-deprecating. inside his head. JJ Perry directs, and the supporting cast includes Snoop Dogg, Karla Souza, Megan Good, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.
Day Shift will be available to play on Netflix on Friday, August 12th.
