The nominations for the 2022 Emmy Awards have been revealed live.
JB Smoove and Melissa Fumero announced who will compete for some of the highest television honors during a virtual ceremony that will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT, which will air live on Emmys.com.
Smoove is an Emmy-winning writer, comedian and actor known for his role in HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. Fumero was one of NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars, which closed its eight-season series in September 2021. Both will appear on Netflix’s upcoming blockbuster comedy series, which also stars Randall Park.
The 2022 Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from coast to coast at 20:00 ET / 17:00 PT on Monday, September 12 on NBC. The show will also air live on Peacock.
The ceremony is usually aired on a Sunday, except in years when NBC has broadcast rights, as the network broadcasts NFL games on Sunday nights. The Emmy broadcast revolves around ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. The last time NBC aired the Emmys, four years ago, the awards ceremony took place on a Monday.
Before the main ceremony on NBC, the Creative Arts Emmys will take place over two nights, on Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4. An edited version of the Creative Arts Emmys will air at 8pm on September 10th. FXX.
