Nothing Phone (1) to come with a transparent design as rumored release date and price leak

Typically like Carl Pei, the details of Nothing Phone (1) have been slowly fed in recent months to help generate hype. The latest snippets of this type in Nothing Phone (1) include the potential release date, price, and confirmation that the phone will have a transparent design.

The CEO gave an interview with the head of design at Nothing to Wallpaper magazine, detailing some of the upcoming design elements for the firm’s first smartphone. Pei said the Nothing Phone (1) will feature a transparent back plate design, which fits the earphones (1) launched last year. Pei also confirmed that the device will use recycled aluminum for the frame and the wireless charging coil on the back will act as a focal point for the design.

A separate leak from AllroundPC states that Nothing Phone (1) will be released in July, which coincides with the summer release of Pei himself during the presentation of Nothing: The Truth. The German publication obtained this new information from a European retailer suggesting a launch period for Nothing Phone (1), as it states that the device will be officially on sale from 21 July.

The proposed price was also shared, and the Nothing Phone (1) was launched around € 500 in European regions. If true, we might be looking at a mid-range device from the company when it finally shows up sometime soon. The association of anything with Qualcomm may see the use of a mid-range processor like the recently released Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, but at this stage it is unclear.

If this latest leak is accurate, we won’t have much more to wait for the launch of Nothing Phone (1). What remains to be seen is whether this new incoming Android smartphone can compete in a very busy market.
